Special: "A Life under Sail"
Marilyn Mower (Boat International) & Paola Siniramed Trifirò
"Paola Trifiró has been involved with many sailing yacht projects, from just 7 meters as a student, to the impressive S/Y Zefira, a 50m Dubois design, and her current yacht, 32.6m S/Y Ribelle, designed by Malcolm McKeon and delivered by Vitters in 2017. As a passionate regatta participant, with her husband, Salvatore, this new boat focuses on lightness and speed for racing, without sacrificing the space and transparency for cruising pleasure and sea life. She has always been a sailor at heart.
In particular, she is fond of adventurous sailing to far distant seas and has cruised the oceans from the South Pacific – Fiji and Samoa, to Norway and Alaska, Panama and California.
As a passionate bibliophile, she has an impressive personal literature and art library of more than 12,000 books containing a special collection entirely dedicated to the history of food, gastronomic culture and science and international cooking - including many incunabula and rare editions.
She is a professional lawyer, specialising in Family and Inheritance law, graduating at Università degli Studi of Milano magna cum laude with a degree thesis on ancient Roman Law and has been Research Fellow in Civil Law for years. Paola has been a judge for BOAT International’s World Superyacht Awards since 2011 and a spent many years as a judge for the Design & Innovation Awards" Boat International
